The Queer Talmud revolution is growing and expanding all the time, and we’re growing our team to help power the magic. Currently we have two open positions.
SVARA is seeking a Communications Director to join our growing team. This person will be responsible for amplifying SVARA’s voice and will tend to and nurture our national learning community by elevating and implementing our communications strategies. They will work collaboratively with SVARA’s leadership to develop messaging, stories, and materials (print and digital) that more effectively connect to our current community and broaden our reach, and work with our program team to develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy for all of SVARA’s programs. They will have a clearly developed voice and an understanding of how to engage a diverse audience through communications. This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the Executive Director.
SVARA is seeking a Development Director to join our growing team in building toward our long-term sustainability. SVARA’s budget is currently $1.8M, with plans to reach $3M by 2023 and approximately 85% of our revenue comes from grants and individual giving. The Development Director will be responsible for implementing our major gifts and annual giving strategies, in close partnership with our leadership team. They will build relationships among our national learning community and within the Jewish and queer philanthropic sectors. They will approach the work with an understanding of economic justice and equity and will nurture a base of donors who will become long-time sustainers of SVARA’s mission. This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the Executive Director.
